Policies and booking information

As we are a small independent hostel, we always welcome direct booking over the phone wherever possible. We will be able to select the most appropriate room for you over the phone and answer any questions you may have. We also offer lower deposits and a better cancellation policy if you book directly with us.

We will take a 10% deposit of your total stay and the remaining balance will be due when you check in. If your circumstances change, or an event is cancelled, you can cancel or amend your booking with us. If you contact us before 10 days of arrival, we will refund you the deposit in full. If you contact us between 10 days and 2 days of arrival, we will refund 50% of your deposit. However all cancellations within 48 hours before arrival will be charged in full.

You are responsible for the full amount due for your reservation even If a member of your group ‘drops out’ last minute, or if you leave a few days early, therefore no refunds can be given.

If you still wish to book online, you can use www.booking.com or www.hostelworld.com. These companies will take 15% deposit and they keep this as their commission. Any deposits made through online companies are not our responsibility, you must contact the company directly. Again, you are responsible for the remaining balance of your full reservation, this must be paid to us directly on arrival.

Check in is 4pm – 10pm.

If you arrive early and your room is ready, you are more than welcome to check in early. If your room is not ready, you are more than welcome to use our facilities while you wait until the specified check in time.

Reception closes at 10pm so please do not book if you cannot arrive before 10pm. Please call and see if a late check in can be arranged with staff working that day. If this can be arranged, there will be an extra fee for late arrivals, so please enquire first.

Registration forms and a £25 security bond for each guest must be filled in using card details at check in. This will be shredded and destroyed when you leave. There are some house rules to agree to on this security bond form, this is to ensure the comfort and safety of all our guests.

Valid identification must be shown to staff and you must be over 18 years of age to stay. All people in your booking must be present at arrival and total stay paid for in full. Door access codes will not be given out until the whole group arrives.

Check out is 10:30am. All your belongings must be removed from your room and the key returned at this time. Any unwanted food can be donated to the free food box. Late checkouts will be charged extra. Within reason, you may briefly use the facilities before you leave, but please ask a member of staff first.
